Deepavali Fair at Little India

Ready made plastic kolams. I prefer traditional ones made with lots of effort – chalk drawings filled in with coloured rice.

Again I prefer home-made goodies to these mass-produced ones.

Lots of interesting decorative items. It’s rather fun to walk through the bazaar.

Festival of lights with modern colourful candles. Again I think oil lamps would be more authentic but I guess these are fun.

Very colourful indeed. A welcome sight and Little India is one place where Singapore has always felt authentic.
