Getting Back into Writing Mode

I need to repeat this to myself – “Just write. It doesn’t have to be perfect”. And I’m lucky I have a very forgiving audience.

Somehow when I was writing a lot in the past it came easy to me and once I stopped, I lost the flow, confidence and desire.

Fellow bloggers/writers, do you find yourself in a similar situation? Would like to hear that I’m not alone in this awful writing block situation. I’m always sad when a blog I follow doesn’t update for months and I hope they will return. Now that it’s happened to me, I understand why that happens. Sometimes real life just takes over but my online life nutures me so I need to keep it going.

Welcome back! We missed you! I know what you mean. Sometimes I get too busy or too tired or too uninspired. I tend to write a few posts when insipration comes and then post one every couple of days which helps me with keeping the blog updated.

Thanks Danielle. I am drooling over your Bali cooking photos right now 😉 So hungry and looks like a fun activity to do even though I’m really lousy when it comes to cooking…better at eating ;-p

It was great fun! I looooove eating but I also like to cook too, so when we travel we try to go cooking too 🙂 you usually get a cookbook which is a great way to remember your holiday when you recreate the dishes

Agree you get into a flow and posts come easily, stop and it’s difficult to get motivated again

Yay, glad to see you back online! 🙂

I don’t really call myself a writer/blogger since mainly I just ramble about my life mostly, which is boring and wordy. But even then, there are times when I feel that writing is a chore and that I am just updating about my life online without having any feel for the words that I am typing out. Sometimes when that happens, I take a break for a short while too. 🙂

Hope you are feeling better and don’t be so harsh on yourself!

hello! totally get what you mean, which is also why i sometimes lapse for quite a long period of time without blogging. i’m trying to write more now though, and also trying to tell myself that it doesn’t have to perfect.

    keep going! 🙂

(btw, i shifted my blog hehe..)

  5. Sometimes, we need inspiration to trigger our imagination and capture that in our writing. It’s not easy to write continuously without that “writer’s block” once in a while.

Sometimes, just don’t have time to write or don’t have the mood to write =.=
