JB Coffee Shop: Wan Tan Mee

The best thing about JB is not the malls but the old style coffee shops. So much more authentic than Singapore and the meals are so yummy and cheap. I still need to update this post with an address but I do know that it’s next to a My Pharmacy and in an area with several Korean and Japanese restaurants.

The Malaysian Wan Tan Mee is very different from the Singapore one. The noodles are much thinner and it almost tastes like a different dish. I like how the char skew is very thin with no fat on it. It’s more savoury than sweet with no tomato sauce in it.

This was just 4 ringgit which translates to S$1.50 (at the exchange rate we got of 1.62). Essentially half the price of a Singapore meal.
