Favourite Noodles: Kok Kee Wanton Mee

Kok Kee wanton mee
The sauce is what makes the difference

A truly satisfying lunch for S$4.50. Pity you can’t use the CDC Vouchers here, but I think they don’t need the extra business perhaps and that scheme is probably to help hawkers not on our radar yet. This was at the coffeeshop in Ang Mo Kio. I’ve also tried it at Rasapura Masters (atas foodcourt at Marina Bay Sands), but find it slightly better here. Tried the delivery service but the sauce gets soaked up and it’s just a bit too soggy by the time it reaches you. I’d still order delivery if I’m craving for wanton noodles though cos the other wanton noodles pale in comparison. Taste is subjective though and I don’t care for pieces of lard and prefer my char side to be thinly sliced and lean.
