My Fave Japanese Stores in Singapore #3 : Don Don Donki

A picture heavy post.

This store is so enticing and attractive, although it’s more on the expensive side compared to Daiso of course. The fruit is like eye candy and the fresh scent of apples today. Just wow. Feast for the senses.

Eye candy, am I right?
Pink strawberries

The pink strawberries are called ‘Light Snow’ in Japanese. Even the description is so pretty.

It’s the packaging and the colours

B tells me this particular banana is special. It has cholesterol lowering properties and GABA in it too: The claim in the advertising is that GABA is considered an inhibitory neurotransmitter because it blocks, or inhibits, certain brain signals and decreases activity in your nervous system. When GABA attaches to a protein in your brain known as a GABA receptor, it produces a calming effect. This can help with feelings of anxiety, stress, and fear.

The Apple scent was amazing

This special Apple is called Red Dream in Japanese. As you can see they have a pretty pink hue within.

I was very tempted to get this castella cake
So many tempting snacks
I love strawberry milk and I can afford this at close to Daiso price.
This savoury snack tempted B

The crab snacks are called Tamagogani in japan. Its made up of 2 words, Tamago (egg) and Gani (crab). Tamago is being used to describe something that is small instead of an actual egg, as these are tiny dried hermit crabs, seasoned and fried.

Cookies but in a milk carton
Looked liked something I would want to try
Alcoholic beverages
Yum ..Tangerine juice
It’s like being inside a cartoon
Late hours will be great for travellers
