Perth Trip Day 7: Joondalup Lake is a Cherished Place in My Heart (Neil Hawkins Park)

My uncle always tells me about how he loves to take a walk by the Joondalup Lake, so I have been yearning to see the place in person. My sweet cousin drove us there and it was even more lovely than I imagined.

I got to see this beautiful creature which I thought was a duck, but my cousin googled and it seems it’s a water hen. The grass here was so green reminding me of the UK and the lake so serene. Those little ducks cheered my heart.

That gorgeous hen

I just loved spotting animals and birds during this trip to Western Australia. If I lived here I would take many regular walks around the park especially with the perfect autumn weather. It was about 16 degree’s celcius.

Breathtaking beauty of nature
A little jetty leading to the lake
I could just gaze out here for ages

Felt so excited and just lucky to be able to be there soaking in all that beauty. We were leaving for Singapore the morning after, so we were ending on a high note indeed.
