Not Into Parties or Clubbing
I am terribly awkward and self conscious. Never been into parties or clubbing where I didn’t already know and was comfortable with everyone there. I prefer one on one meetings over tea with someone I know and like, rather than … Continue reading

Haw Par Villa: Gruesome & Strange, but a Once in a Lifetime Kinda Place
My mum recalls that when I was a toddler I used to love sitting on the plastic tiger at the entrance of Haw Par Villa. Back then we called the place Tiger Balm gardens. Try as I might I couldn’t … Continue reading

Weird Singapore Weather
Singapore’s weather can be so wonderfully weird. Sunny in the foreground and dark threatening clouds on the horizon, not too far away. Don’t think I quite captured how contrasting it was.
Psychopath on Board?
After gorging on laksa, we were strolling around the Alexandra area in an effort to feel less bloated. Nothing much to see. Mostly shops selling tyres and car assessories here. Saw some really weird car signs. Boredom and blogging makes … Continue reading

Seems a Tad Fishy
I don’t think any legal loan service would be advertised like this. Would they?
Acquired Taste
When I was a little kid I hated to eat proper meals or at all. I was more interested in playing (if only I was that way now). I used to eat what seems positively gross to me now – … Continue reading

Mustafa: Low Crime Doesn’t Mean No Crime
The juvenile in me giggled when I saw the new bright neon sign worn by the security guard outside our little India shopping mall. It’s the mouthful of a slogan by our police department. You see we hardly get crime … Continue reading

Singapore’s Arab Street: Something Strange
I still have no idea why forks were stuck into the soil of this potted plant. Saw this outside one of the shophouses at Arab Street, which is fast becoming my new favourite place in Singapore. Anyone have a clue? … Continue reading

Singapore Daily Photo: Catch Cheating Spouse
This is one of the most eye catching unusual ads I’ve seen plastered on a taxi. With the increasing number of divorces this must be a rampant problem in Singapore. I never really thought about private detectives existing in Singapore. … Continue reading

Singapore’s Odd and Gross Signs and Posters
Saw this at the Chinatown Market. I am a little puzzled at the picture at the very top. I figured that it means no pets and that includes dogs, cats (looks more like a pig to me) and birds? No … Continue reading
