Another Visit to our Beautiful Botanic Gardens (Main Entrance at Tanglin)
This times we parked at the side nearer the main entrance. It was a pity that there was construction and cleaning going on when we were there and a lot of the path was blocked. We then made a promise … Continue reading

Didn’t have a Good Experience at Halia
I wouldn’t recommend Halia at Botanic Gardens (next to the Ginger Garden) as the prices were just too high and the service seemed a tad snooty. I felt so disappointed, because I really wanted to love the place. The waiter … Continue reading

Singapore Botanic Gardens: Most Serene Place in the City (Part 4 of 4)
A glimpse into the rainforest. Glad that there are some areas in the park that are allowed to grow wild and free. Fascinated by the buttress roots. Back to the Casa Verde area with the beautiful fountains. Walked a bit … Continue reading

We were heading towards the Halia Cafe and noticed that this was where the entrance to the National Orchid Garden was located. I was absolutely fascinated by this female tourist who was wearing ‘Sex and the City’ heels. I marveled … Continue reading

Singapore Botanic Gardens: Most Serene Place in the City (Part 2 of 4)
I have a poor sense of direction, so the clearly marked signs were comforting. In green too, blending nicely into the natural surroundings. What was new and cool, was that the MRT station has been included. Even though it was … Continue reading

I think the increased accessibility is a good thing, although I haven’t experienced the crowd situation yet. Also pleasing to hear that small businesses may benefit.

Picnics in Singapore & My Confession
I have a confession to make. I have never had a proper picnic (meal outdoors in a picnic basket and fully clothed) in Singapore. As a child I’ve had snacks in my swimsuit on a mat by the shore, mostly … Continue reading

A Lady Bug, a Grasshopper and a Bee (Singapore Botanic Gardens)
Drove by the Botanic Gardens and the cute bugs (a lady bug, a green grasshopper and a yellow bee?) sitting near the fence attracted me. Snapped some quick blurry shots. As I checked out the photos I noticed a sign … Continue reading
