Chocolate Cake at the Coffeeshop

Rich and moist chocolate cake that tastes like it’s been steamed rather than baked. A great dessert after Kok Kee Wanton Mee. It’s rare to find this at a coffeeshop that sells hawker food. Only $3.50 at one of the … Continue reading

My Fave Japanese Stores in Singapore: #1. Daiso

Just love this chain of stores from Japan because it’s affordable where each item is S$2. Some items at Daiso are worth much more (good quality toys, shopping bags or files) and some much less (a single hair clip, unless … Continue reading

JB Coffee Shop: Wan Tan Mee

The best thing about JB is not the malls but the old style coffee shops. So much more authentic than Singapore and the meals are so yummy and cheap. I still need to update this post with an address but … Continue reading

Cider at Ikea

Loved the strawberry & lime cider at Ikea. Loveliest scent & aftertaste. It was below 5 bucks and much cheaper than having it at a restaurant where I’ve seen cider marked up and sold for as much as 15 bucks.

IMM: Best Place for Factory Outlet Shopping in Singapore

I used to be very reluctant to go to IMM as I found the place rather dingy. The only reason I had to come here was when Singapore had only one Daiso outlet. IMM has since transformed, with their new … Continue reading

Merry Christmas from JB, Malaysia

Was charmed by the rotating gingerbread man at City Square, the mall nearest Singapore where I like to browse at FOS (Factory Outlet Store) for clothes. There are some good branded buys at sometimes as low as a quarter of … Continue reading

Nanairo: 2 Dollar Store at Liang Court

Nanairo at Liang Court, is another Japanese store like Daiso, where everything goes for just S$2. Some of the products are really good quality like winter gloves that I spotted in pretty colours. Didn’t get a photo though.

Update July 2013: The revamped IMM is my top choice at the moment. What I wrote previously: Forget about Johor Premium Outlets which needs to get it’s act together if they want business to continue. Prices are just way too … Continue reading

Lynda Carter is Magic and I am So Disappointed by the New Wonder Woman Poster with Adrianne Palicki
