Driving from Bunbury crossing the Swan River and back to the Perth CBD area. We checked into a lovely hotel in Perth with a great location – Peppers King’s Square Hotel.
We were charmed by this place from the onset. Truly felt like a beautiful cottage home. So cosy.
You can’t see it here, but the skies were clear and sun was blinding. I’m not used to this as humidity in Singapore is high and there is always some cloud cover. And it was pretty crowded so I couldn’t … Continue reading
I was even more impressed by the majesty of the hotel shalet in the morning.
We arrived at night, but unexpectedly the ride was comfortable didn’t feel too long although it took about 3 hours. The resort looked beautiful so that helped too.
Family birthday lunch celebration today. We tend to like having leisurely lunches or teas at new places – who doesn’t I guess. Among all the items in this huge international buffet, I found the North Indian food, satay and chicken … Continue reading
I found the decorations at Pan Pacific Hotel very pretty and the photo I took doesn’t do it justice.
Katong V is a quiet small mall connected to a hotel. My kind of mall. A nice place to have tea or coffee perhaps, but I didn’t this time. Just bought a fresh baguette at the bakery called East Manhattan. … Continue reading
The highlight of the trip to Hanoi was the stay at the elegant Sofitel Metropole and besides the fact that it was beautiful with great service was the fact that it has so much historical significance. Recently a bomb shelter … Continue reading
It has been a long time since we’ve had high tea at Hyatt. I have fond memories of high tea with my Aunty S as the waterfall rushed down in their old cosy lounge. It’s now called 10 Scotts Lounge … Continue reading
It’s strange how details go missing as time passes. Two days ago I blogged about the Hong Kong Trip I took back in June 2007, but I came across old journal entries just after the trip and I thought I’d … Continue reading
I’ve been to Hong Kong a total of 4 times and thought I should dig up photos from my last trip with B in 2007. You see, my cousin’s going there in December and I thought I should jog my … Continue reading
Blogged about it here. If only the Fullerton Bay High Tea would start earlier and last longer like the one at Shangri-la, I would declare it as my top pick.
I have come here quite a number of times as I love the buffet at the Princess Terrace at Copthorne King’s Hotel. Lunch is from 12 – 2.30 pm on weekdays and there were many people from various offices out … Continue reading
The most prominent feature on the roads of Delhi were the green and yellow tuk-tuks. We saw them everywhere. And in this shot, a helicopter in the air – probably part of the tight security due to Republic Day. Also … Continue reading
To me Shangri-la Hotel kinda feels like home, because we used to organize several conferences here and I even stayed in the hotel once. As a teen I always dreamt of working in a hotel as it seems so glamourous, … Continue reading
In Singapore, it’s great that there is free entertainment, like the light & water show at Marina Bay Sands. Basically it’s a laser and fountain show set to music, like the one that we watched a year ago at Sentosa. … Continue reading
I was very impressed by how beautiful the Marina Bay Sands Hotel structure looked, all lit up and lined with the palm trees at the bottom.
My sister booked a room at the Tower Wing of the Sheraton Saigon. We picked this hotel for it’s excellent location in District 1. We didn’t need to take a cab at all and just walked everywhere from the hotel. … Continue reading
I am away on a very short holiday in Vietnam right now and I thought it would be a great chance for me to have a blogging blackout period. You see, I have been feeling that I have become addicted … Continue reading
Tripadvisor is a site I always check out before booking a hotel. After all, what can beat the combined reviews of guests from all over the world who have actually stayed at the hotel. Tripadvisor has just published their best … Continue reading
