The Christmas Tree at Ikea Singapore

I must visit Ikea again before the Christmas season is over. You truly get a feel for a Swedish Christmas there.

Cider at Ikea

Loved the strawberry & lime cider at Ikea. Loveliest scent & aftertaste. It was below 5 bucks and much cheaper than having it at a restaurant where I’ve seen cider marked up and sold for as much as 15 bucks.

Christmas at Ikea Singapore 2013

Ikea always seems to do Christmas best. So we trooped on there to have a look. It was charming as the year before and I really liked the little tin Chritmas tree ornaments best. B noticed the unique use of … Continue reading

I Love the Designs at Ikea

I have a major weakness for pretty designs and colours. Ikea is so tempting with their fresh designs in punchy or soothing colours. I adore the shades they choose for their products and the clean lines. I feel like a … Continue reading

Other Stuff at Ikea Tampines that Caught My Eye

I was immediately attracted to this bowl. You see, I like things made of natural materials and I have a weakness for light woods. Even for flooring at home I prefer blonde woods to dark ones like teak. I usually … Continue reading

Excited about the Pretty Christmas Decorations at Ikea

Out of all the Christmas decorations I’ve seen I think Ikea does it best. Had to do our usual round of checking them out and we went to the Tampines branch. Didn’t buy anything as it was crazy crowded. Hard … Continue reading

Window Shopping at Ikea

Even though I have the new catalogue, it’s always more fun to actually look at the stuff at the store. Often some things can feel quite flimsy, so I need to shake them a little and see how easily they … Continue reading

Ikea: You Don’t have to Travel to Sweden for Swedish Treats

Ikea Singapore for a dose of Sweden and a Swedish Christmas (ruined by bad behaviour)

Another reason to adore Ikea. Twenty-four numbered drawers to mark a countdown to Christmas is a lovely idea. It’s called an Advent calendar and costs S$19.90 which is a bit expensive, but it’s such a cool idea for both kids … Continue reading

I love experiencing new things. Took advantage of the low season and went to Scandinavia during a period no one wants to go there. Basically it’s mostly dark and grey with just 6 hours of daylight from about 9am to … Continue reading

Toys at Ikea’s Kiddie Section

Absolutely loved the broccoli and carrot soft toys. Great idea to get kids to love these vegetables. The prints at the kiddie section are somehow more vibrant. Dolls depicting different ethnicities. I was very tempted to get this paint, crayons … Continue reading

Massive Crowds at Ikea Tampines

Just a reminder to myself to avoid Ikea on the weekends. The main crowds were at the restaurant, food area and kids section which was treated like a free playground. It was utter chaos. Like our MRT stations at peak … Continue reading

Swedish Christmas at Ikea

Have always loved the Christmas displays and products at Ikea. A handcrafted Dala horse straw goat had us captivated. A heart shaped straw wreath in my favourite shade of red. Contrasts well with the natural coloured straw one. If you … Continue reading

How Singaporeans Actually Feel About Expats in Singapore

I think I am not alone when I say that most Singaporeans have entertained the idea of migrating at some point or another and it’s our families or other circumstances that hold us back. We are annoyed with our government’s … Continue reading

Ikea Restaurant: I Still Love You in Spite of the Eggshells

I was late for the breakfast and unfortunately picked the last french toast set that was there.  Not surprising that it was cold, but the worst part was biting into eggshells and having a hard time retrieving the pieces. Aw … Continue reading
