#11. Simple Joys: Pretty Things at ION & More Space on the higher floors
I managed to get some peace and eye candy even on a busy weekend. Trying to be grateful for every little thing as I believe it helps in elevating our mood. I can’t afford a thing at Valentino, but I … Continue reading

Nam Sing Hokkien Mee at ION
This lunch was extremely satisfying and I look forward to bringing my cousin here when she visits Singapore again. Portion size is small though and it’s very crowded at lunch hour. It was my first time at the ION Food … Continue reading

Feel So Happy Meeting with Two of My Cousins After Almost 4 Years
I have social anxiety, but I don’t feel it with people I’m comfortable with like my cousins. I practically saw them grow up, being the much older cousin. They were the cutest toddlers. It’s true what they say about cousins … Continue reading
Paradise Dynasty at ION
I continue with my Sichuan handmade noodle (dan dan mian) obsession. The xiao long bao here is good too and I think the ION branch as the best ambience. They gave us a huge booth seat.

Art at ION
The horse looked really spooky and I believe that was the effect the sculptor was going for. I like how they change up the art at ION now and then. And Saveur – french restaurant I’ve heard a lot about … Continue reading
CNY2015: Lion Dancers at ION
I couldn’t take the ear drum busting decibel levels so I didn’t get close enough for a good photo. But to hear the lion dance drums and cymbals in a mall sure is exciting. And what a captivating view from … Continue reading
CNY2015: Firecrackers at ION
I was pretty impressed by the giant firecrackers at ION. I liked the flashing lights mimicking how a firecracker would go off. Without it the display would be boring. Understated looking window display at IWC which I liked as well.

Haagen Dazs at ION
Jones the Grocer that used to be at level 4 of ION seems to be closed including the cafe opposite. Instead there’s a Haagen Daaz Cafe now. I didn’t really feel like ice cream, wanted a place to sit and … Continue reading
Moomin at ION
It used to be pretty difficult to find Moomin toys. But last week I spotted this at a store on the 4th level of ION selling cards and gifts. I find these characters created in Finland in the 1945 so … Continue reading
Breakfast at Jones the Grocer
I must say the best eggs benedict I’ve had was at TWG but this was not bad. The server at Jones the Grocer tried very hard to provide good service and we appreciated that. Conversation was awkward but the effort … Continue reading
High Tea Set at ION’s Marmalade Pantry
I was not impressed by the service. First we were ignored in the queue and later it took quite a while for us to be served. I guess the tea at 3pm is just too popular and they are understaffed … Continue reading
Another Visit to Jones The Grocer at ION
This was my third visit to this outlet of Jones the Grocer and I love the laid back vibe. It’s at the 4th level next to the bookstore and it never gets too crowded here. Again I tried something I’ve … Continue reading

Panda at ION
The panda sculpture almost glittered. Just beside TWG at ION (street level). I was curious about it and found more here. The artist is Julian Marinetti. Can any French speaker tell me the gist of what he’s saying? I’ll … Continue reading
New Jones the Grocer at ION
We were seeking a new place in town for a girls’ night out and we had already been to Marmalade Pantry at ION. D and I wanted a place near the MRT so decided on the new outlet of Jones … Continue reading

Revamped ION Basement Food Hall
If you’re looking for single slice pizzas you can get it here. It was not that fantastic but I guess it could satisfy a craving like it did for B. Wrote about it including what I did this week. Personally … Continue reading

Creepiest Snowman
Christmas is over, but I forgot to post about the creepiest snowman ever wearing a red G-string. It was shaking it’s booty too, which made it even creepier and so inappropriate for the kiddies. It was it’s denture-like perfect teeth … Continue reading
A New TWG at ION: Smug Service, but I’m a Sucker for the Tea
We have wanted to try the high tea at TWG but always miss out as we are there well before 3pm. It seems worthwhile. But now that I’ve tried it I’m not so sure. All the items are so tiny. … Continue reading

Two Visits to Marmalade Pantry at ION (With My Cousin, & By Myself)
I had no interest to try out Marmalade Pantry, although I’ve strolled pass this cafe many a time. It just seemed so open, crowded and not so cosy, and I thought the pricing must be steep. But since my cousin … Continue reading

Epilogue Cafe at ION: Nice View, Disappointing Drinks
The only redeeming quality of the Epilogue cafe which replaces Jams cafe within the Prologue Bookstores (atas version of Popular) is the view and the fact that it’s a quiet place to have a peaceful break. The drinks were disappointing. … Continue reading
