The National Library & Sleeping Folks
The new building is very impressive. But I still miss the tiny red brick building that used to the National Library I knew as a kid. It’s pretty conveniently located. Not attached to Bugis MRT (which would be lovely for … Continue reading

This Makes Me So Embarrassed: Library Stampede
This happened today and makes me ashamed to be a Singaporean (just assuming they were all local) and associated with this type of kiasu behaviour. You would think Singaporeans have never seen books before. But sometimes, how can you blame … Continue reading

Singapore Daily Photos: Journey to The Esplanade
Just came across this wonderful post by Singaporean Blogger ‘Everything Also Complain which explained my confusion about the esplanade circle line stop seeming a bit far from the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. I think the City Hall stop … Continue reading

Indian Section at the Ang Mo Kio Library
I think it’s so cool that there’s a whole section for Indian books, including those in English. I chanced upon it when I was looking at books about Kerala in the Travel section and came across none. The nice librarian … Continue reading

The Esplanade
Powder pink and mint green silk cloths billowing in the wind add to the theatrical atmosphere. Great view from inside the library. Unfortunately I could not capture this due to the no-photography sign posted outside. The library with the most … Continue reading
