I Would Definitely Return to Angelina for the Hot Chocolate
Or perhaps iced chocolate the next time. The hot chocolate reminded me of what we had in Paris. The use real chocolate and it’s rich enough to fill you up without any other dessert. Two can share one pot too. … Continue reading →

Finally Tried Out Paris Baguette (French inspired Korean Cafe in Singapore)
Talked about Paris Baguette recently, but I’ve now finally checked it out for real. Had to, as it seems like the hottest place in town at the moment. I’m always curious about new places. Although you can probably only truly … Continue reading →

Regent Hotel: One of the Best Weekend High Teas in Singapore
Once in a while we go for high tea at a hotel. It’s one of the most fun things to do in Singapore and one of my favourite ways to spend the weekend. And recently we had a really satisfying … Continue reading →
Yummy Sandwiches at Selfish Gene
I am hankering for the yummy ham sandwich at Selfish Gene Cafe. Tastes as good as what I’ve had at Cedele and at slightly kinder prices. The ambience at the cafe is much nicer too, although harder to get to … Continue reading →

Back to Wild Honey at Scotts Square for Bacon & Pancakes (& A Bit Miffed about the Service at the End)
My second visit to Wild Honey at Scotts Square, and boring me had pancakes and bacon again. I wish I could have ordered scrambled eggs and a brioche as a side order. You can order bacon as a side though. … Continue reading →
Nutella Tart at Everything with Fries (Holland Village Branch)
Service was friendly enough, but I wasn’t that impressed overall. The Nutella Tart was ok I guess (my sister would love it as she likes her desserts rich especially chocolate ones). To be fair though we just came for dessert … Continue reading →

Long Phung: Vietnamese Coffeeshop in Joo Chiat
I strongly recommend the fresh spring rolls and Pho at this Vietnamese Coffee shop called Long Phung in Joo Chiat. Not as good as those in Vietnam of course, but one of the best I’ve had in Singapore and at … Continue reading →

Afternoon Tea at Four Seasons
I could not find any reviews of the afternoon tea at the Four Seasons. Even more reason to blog about it and share what I thought of it. Perhaps the lack of reviews should have been a sign. The place … Continue reading →

Freshness Burger Is My New Favourite Place (Nex Mall – Serangoon MRT)
(Update 25 June 2011: recently I saw the whole place boarded up – hope it’s not closed permanently. Might be due to the steep pricing) I finally had a chance to try Freshness Burger in Singapore. It’s the very first … Continue reading →

Bagette – The Viet Inspired Deli at VivoCity
I want to try out this Vietnamese Bagette place one day. It’s new at VivoCity, although I have seen a small take-away outlet at Raffles City some time ago. A Japanese Restaurant I always pass by, but haven’t tried yet.

Borshch Steak House: Step Back in Time into the 70’s
The Borshch Steakhouse in Serangoon Gardens is one of those places that’s charmingly stuck in a time warp and has retained an authentic retro feel. To be honest, I avoided patronising this place as it looks run down from the … Continue reading →
