Tang at Mustafa
Had to snap a shot of shelves of Tang, a powdered vitamin C drink I used to have as a kid in the 80’s. I haven’t seen this in a while and it’s cool how this department store in Little … Continue reading
Mustafa: Real Cadbury Chocolate from the UK & Other Snacks
Besides the Value store, Mustafa in Little India is another place where you can get real Cadbury (and by that I mean the Cadbury from the UK which is so much more superior in terms of taste). I wonder how … Continue reading

Shakuntala’s at Syed Alwi Road & Other Indian Restaurants near Mustafa
I’ve enjoyed the vegetarian rice set at Shakuntala’s and I recommend this branch rather than the fancier one called Shankutala’s Food Palace at Race Course Road which serves seafood as well. The standards are not very consistent and I find … Continue reading

Singapore’s Little India: Cute Ads
I love how even the ads in little India like this phone ad, cater to the largely Indian customer based here. Indian people tend to love jewel tones like rich purple and the phone looks like it’s wearing a purple … Continue reading
Mustafa: Low Crime Doesn’t Mean No Crime
The juvenile in me giggled when I saw the new bright neon sign worn by the security guard outside our little India shopping mall. It’s the mouthful of a slogan by our police department. You see we hardly get crime … Continue reading

Tibetan Monks: Money Changer at Mustafa
The mustard and maroon robes of the Tibetan Monks are always striking against any landscape. I spotted them at the money changer at Mustafa and couldn’t resist taking a photo. I hope they don’t mind.
