If you ask me, my favourite fruits are tropical. If they are not tropical, I find them quite bland. Tropical fruits tend to be sweeter and are equivalent to dessert. Mention durian, chempedak, rambutan or mango and my eyes light … Continue reading
Saw this really funny White Chocolate Easter Bunny at Swiss Bake at Nex. Something went wrong with the shape of the mouth and the missing front teeth. Makes the bunny look like it either ate some really hot peppers or … Continue reading
This shop, the Icing Room, would be quite pretty and attractive (I for one can’t resist pink). If it was the only one of its kind. But it’s a part of a chain and when you see them everywhere, it … Continue reading
After gorging on laksa, we were strolling around the Alexandra area in an effort to feel less bloated. Nothing much to see. Mostly shops selling tyres and car assessories here. Saw some really weird car signs. Boredom and blogging makes … Continue reading
But why does the Daisy look like it’s frowning?
Sometimes the sky in Singapore can look really interesting when you can see that it’s raining a distance away but in the foreground it’s still scorching.
It’s typically hot and windy during Chinese New Year. But I welcome the short downpours that come and provide much needed relief. The Tamil harvest festival (Ponggal) coincides during this period and was celebrated on Sunday although it’s not a … Continue reading
Since I feel tired of complaining and being angry, I’m back to my more frivolous posts. Here’s a new ride at West Coast Plaza that looks like fun for the kids.
West Coast Plaza is going for the Candy Themed Christmas and who doesn’t love a vintage rosy cheeked Santa.
Took a double decker bus around a small part of our clean island. Haven’t sat on the upper deck in many years and I recommend it. Thought these bunch of flags sewn together and fluttering in the strong breeze was … Continue reading
The design of the Tiong Bahru Food centre is pretty unique, but your car will get cooked at the rooftop parking lot if you linger for too long. Eat and dash. This time around I was not impressed by the … Continue reading
It’s always a human crush especially since it’s the school holidays and the weekend, plus the thing they call the Great Singapore Sale.
I think Singapore is one of the few places in the world with colourful buildings. They add prettiness to our skyline. What’s best is, it doesn’t cost a cent to appreciate our old restored Architecture. One of the simple pleasures.
Update: 14 July 2011 My 2 favourite people in one eco friendly video. I have so much respect for famous people who remain so down to earth. I have always been a fan of James Blunt’s music, but now I … Continue reading
I love looking up and taking photos of our skies. In spite of our perpetual summer, we do see quite a bit of variation if we look hard enough. A fine day. Clear skies. Cumulous clouds on a blistering hot … Continue reading
The sign definitely caught our attention. Maybe the owner Irvin is really handsome? Anyone had a meal here? How was the food? The place got pretty good reviews and the salted egg crab seems to be a hit.
Lately it’s been super hot and then it’s the old geography lesson of the hot air rising and cooling and convectional rain falling at night. The clouds formations are pretty awe inspiring and I couldn’t help myself and took more … Continue reading
In Singapore we have Food Trends or should I call them Food Crazes. After a hard day at the office, indulging in a food novelty is a nice way to wind down. It’s quite a phenomenon to see long winding … Continue reading
I can’t wait for The Tourist to show here. Any movie about travel and fantastic locations, and I’m there. Especially with fantastic cinematography that’s a feast for the eyes. In spite of the weird British accent, Jolie looks absolutely stunning … Continue reading
