Samy’s Curry at Dempsey has Been Renovated & We had a Good Lunch There
Went by for lunch. It was packed and there was a queue as we left. This is quite the institution for Singaporean style South Indian curry on a banana leaf. I truly love the cabbage dhal, fish curry and Mysore … Continue reading

My Mostly Bad Experiences at RK Prata & I Don’t Get Why People Rave About this Place
Usually come if there’s a parking lot right in front of the stall. Just seems convenient. However, service is very inconsistent. Mostly rude, often ignored and you are made to feel invisible, even when the place is relatively empty. There … Continue reading

My Favourite Teh Halia at Tekka: Mubarak Ali Kopitiam
In my subjective opinion the best teh halia (ginger milk tea) in Singapore. I like my tea, sweet, milky, smooth, not tannic and the ginger doesn’t need to be overpowering .

Back the millionth time to Yakader at Tekka Market which is a testament to how much we like it. Messy looking, but extremely delicious to us. You can go back to the stall for a top up of the ‘talchar’ … Continue reading

Samy’s Curry is Always Satisfying

Thosai at Komala Vilas
Always tasty and generous portions at the original Komala Vilas at Serangoon Road. Only thing is after the meal you tend to feel quite bloated. I still love the taste here and it’s been in operation since 1947. I guess … Continue reading

MTR: South Indian Vegetarian Place from Bangalore, in Singapore

My Favourite Prata: Sin Ming Roti Prata
This is definitely my favourite kosong prata (plain prata) – fluffy on the outside and with a dense chewiness on the inside. Tried it twice now, but the first time I was so greedy, I forgot to take photos. I … Continue reading
