Rangoon Road: Ba Kut Teh at Ng Ah Sio Again
Felt like having something relatively light after all the heavy meals so headed to our usual place for bak kut teh. I just have the yu tiao with rice and soup as I don’t care for light coloured meat.My preference … Continue reading

Artisan Boulangerie Co. (ABC) at Katong 112
Somehow prefer the branch at Vivocity, the pastries seemed fresher there and it was not as crowded. The coffee looks good but I find it a tad bitter. They do baguette sandwiches best of all and you can’t go wrong … Continue reading

Bad Meal: Rude Service & Disappointingly Bland Laksa
After a spate of good meals we had a bad lunch today. Walked in the blazing heat and was not sure where to go and ended up at 328 Katong Laksa. Spotted a long queue inside the cramped tiny … Continue reading

My Favourite Prata: Sin Ming Roti Prata
This is definitely my favourite kosong prata (plain prata) – fluffy on the outside and with a dense chewiness on the inside. Tried it twice now, but the first time I was so greedy, I forgot to take photos. I … Continue reading
Haron Satay: Tasty But A Teeny Bit Too Sweet
A pleasant night at East Coast Lagoon Food Village (hawker centre) which we headed to fix our satay craving. Only downer is touting here (stall owners swarming and calling out to you) as it’s a tourist attraction I guess. Haron … Continue reading

Paradise Dynasty at ION
I continue with my Sichuan handmade noodle (dan dan mian) obsession. The xiao long bao here is good too and I think the ION branch as the best ambience. They gave us a huge booth seat.

Princess Appam at Changi Airport Terminal 3
I had never heard of princess appam before. An obvious Singapore invention. My sister decided to try it – it’s actually melted cheese, butter and egg on top of the appam. I preferred the plain one (you can request for … Continue reading

The service at The Coffee Daily in Serangoon Gardens is wonderfully warm, and the food quality surprised me too (very good under it’s newest management who keep the cafe open for longer hours). I look forward to coming here again soon. … Continue reading

Marshmallow spread in a Jar
Looks tempting and the first time I’m seeing a product like this – spotted it at Candy Empire (Kallang Wave). Probably to make smokes at a campfire. Something I’ve never done or tired. The only thing I have done is … Continue reading

An Old Favourite: Yakader Briyani at Tekka Market

My Village: Duke Bakery
Duke Bakery has opened a branch at My Village. The breads here are tasty but expensive. Not as good as Maison Kayser in terms of moist chewiness but better than most other similar type bread shops.
Warung M Nasir: Nasi Padang at Killiney Road
