Wan Ton Mee: Hua Kee vs Kok Kee
Was craving for Kok Kee wan tan mee which is my favourite now, but since it was closed we headed to Old Airport Road instead. I haven’t tried the stall next to this one recently and the last two times … Continue reading

Fantastic Malay Food at Haig Road Market
If you want fantastic Malay or Halal food and snacks head to Haig Road market. It’s cramped and crowded but the other patrons are very friendly. We ate too much but couldn’t resist having the famous Mee Rebus (which my … Continue reading

Thai Fried Bananas in Singapore
The thai fried banana snack we had from the stall outside the Golden Mile Complex supermarket was heavenly. The ladies here prepare the desserts with a smile. Just 2 dollars for a packet of about 5 pieces. My partner thinks … Continue reading

Thai Coconut Ice Cream
I don’t like coconut ice cream. It always tastes overwhelming and cloying in it’s sweetness, so when my partner ordered this, I was grumbling and said I wouldn’t have any. But one taste and that ice cream was history. It … Continue reading

Cronuts at Green Pumpkin
I didn’t want to try these, but they do make a pretty sight. Think I prefer to either have a donut or a croissant. Not keen on the fusion, but perhaps I shouldn’t knock it before I try it.
Tried Out Pie Face at Nex
Well to be honest I didn’t try the pie, but my partner did. It was a steak pie ($5.20) and he said it was a tad salty, but generally ok. Only downer to him was that we had to sit … Continue reading

Teuscher: Capitol Piazza
I would come back here for the grilled cheese sandwiches at this Swiss Chocolate place Teuscher at the newly renovated Capitol Piazza. The hot chocolate was a bit too ‘heaty’ for our weather even though it was decent. The real … Continue reading

OTG Coffee
We literally stumbled upon this cafe at the Upper Serangoon area. My partner spotted it from the coffeeshop where we were having dinner. It’s another hip little ice cream waffles and coffee cafe located within HDB blocks and we like … Continue reading

Custard Buns Outside People’s Park
Didn’t have it this time, but I used to love these custard buns ($1.20) at Lau Chong Kee Mini. Look at how generous they are with the custard filling. You might find the taste a teeny bit medicinal, but I … Continue reading

Authentic La Mian again: By Hawker from China
Had the authentic Chinese style La Mian again at the hawker Centre next to People’s Park Complex. It was good (noodle texture and tasty minced pork) but I am still more used to the Singapore style version at Paradise Dynasty … Continue reading

Woodshed: New Coffee Place at Rangoon Road
I didn’t expect much from the Wood Shed at 204 Rangoon Road, but was impressed. It looks like a furniture store from the outside (I think it probably was) and very tiny, but there’s actually a huge space inside and the … Continue reading

Cantonese Milk Pudding
It was my first time trying Cantonese Milk Pudding and I liked it. The texture is like soya bean curd but the taste is very milky. The walnuts were not necessary as this was good plain. This was actually what … Continue reading
Devoured the ribs at Dan Ryan’s and then realised I forgot to take a picture
The ribs were so good I forgot to take a picture. This is and instance of my pure greed especially since we were sharing a slab. Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill is what I would pick over Chillis at Tanglin mall (stone’s … Continue reading

Kay Lee at Suntec: Kinda Pathetic Portions and Not As Fantastic as the Original

Random Stop for Kopi
At a coffeeshop opposite the Chinatown Complex Market. Friendly proprietors and the kopi wasn’t bitter like it is at some places.
