Anxiety: Why Am I Wired This Way?
My brain has been wired by trauma to always think of the worse possible outcome, so that I can be prepared. I’m constantly in fight or flight mode. It’s a terrible state to be in and I wish I wasn’t … Continue reading
June School Holidays: Dinosaurs Everywhere
I went to two malls and at both places saw Dinosaur exhibits. First at One KM which has an adventure component which looked kinda scary to me – walking a rope with a safety harness far off the ground. And … Continue reading

Disney Christmas at Changi Airport
I think the airport is going to be extra crowded with kids just going there to play. There’s a humongous bouncy castle plus disney characters like Mickey and Minnie. Saw this at Terminal 2.

Finally Did it: River Safari
The River Safari is a mixture of an aquarium and a zoo. I enjoyed the it more than I thought I would. I’m not usually an outdoorsy type of person. My favourite exhibits would be the pandas, red pandas (more … Continue reading

Wish I Had a Playhouse when I was Little…
But back then the back of the couch was fine. There sure are some amazing playhouses in Singapore but they do come with a hefty price tag. Playtents are cheaper (Ikea) but I was attracted to this sturdier pretty one … Continue reading

My Favourite Free iPad Apps for Toddlers
Ironically after writing a post about the hazards of being connected (due to the ease and portability of devices), I also wrote about my favourite free ipad apps for toddlers. Yes there are advantages we can’t ignore and we have … Continue reading

City Square for Kiddie Stuff
These days I’m interested in shopping – if it’s for baby or kiddie stuff. Recently I found that City Square is one such place.
Happiness Gift that Banishes Negativity for a While
I need an off switch for my mind. Here I am, awake at 4am and unable to go back to sleep due to worry. What better to do than to compose a blog post. Haven’t been updating the blog lately … Continue reading

Children in Hanoi During Tet
The children in Hanoi were enchanting, posing for their parents during the Tet festival. The Vietnamese people seem to be very family oriented and I noticed they were very gentle and loving with their kids. Here were children tucking into … Continue reading
Chinese New Year 2013 in Singapore: What to Do With the Kids?
Wrote about it at Guillaume’s parenting blog, White as Milk. Included details about fun things like lion dances, although my favourite since age 3 has been the dragon dance. There are scheduled events, but the most fun is coming across impromptu … Continue reading

What’s there for Kids at the New Chinatown Point?
Wrote about it at White as Milk. Also shared what disgusting meal I used to love as a kid. You’ll be pretty grossed out. Would love to hear what odd food you favoured as a child that you find disgusting … Continue reading
Enthralled by the Japanese New Year Celebrations at Liang Court
I love the way Liang Court does things and they confirm again and again why they remain my favourite place to hang out. I’m in love with everything Japanese so I may be a tad biased. Every time I come … Continue reading

Childhood Activities in the 70’s
These days the activities of children seem to be so commercialized. Wrote about my 70’s childhood and it made me think about simpler days when we made up our games and those lovely sand pits at the playground. Very hard … Continue reading
What is the Most Important Value you Would Teach Your Child?
I feel very strongly about good values. Seems to be lacking sometimes in this material world. Or replaced by lousy ones (good to be aggressive?) in the chase for more power or money which I don’t think is very good … Continue reading
I Adore the Cafes at Cluny Court
