Suntec City Revamped & My Mall Claustrophobia

If you’re searching for a mall that’s new or revamped you would have checked out Suntec City like I did. The place used to look dated and dingy so the change is good. There’s a huge Uniqlo and right across, … Continue reading

Back to Little Japan: Liang Court

It’s always a treat to come here – explore the supermarket where there is always some new product to tempt me, new titles at Kinokuniya to entice and the best affordable Japanese cuisine in Singapore. I was so glad to … Continue reading

A Day at Vivo: What’s New

Surprised to see H&M open where the National Geographic store used to be. I quite like the kiddie clothes here. Cute hair and phone assessories too – cute pink walrus iphone cover. And I do like how mustard and navy … Continue reading

New on a Hazy Day: Spotted St Marc Cafe while take Refuge at Marina Square

Checked out a few new places by chance. We were going bored out of our minds cooped at home anyway and at least in a mall you can walk a bit. It seems the air is healthier in a mall … Continue reading

Jem: The Upscale New Mall at Jurong East (& My Directory Picks)

We were super kiasu, I’m embarrassed to say, and checked out the newest mall jem even though most of it is just a replica of malls in Orchard Road, like Centrepoint. And nope, no queuing for us as we didn’t … Continue reading

Singapore Daily Photos: Hot Dog Stand at Great World City

I didn’t try the hot dogs as I was full already, but I wonder if they can match what I’ve had at The Brat (Plaza Singapura).

Smoothie King – A Great Place to Have Wraps

I find smoothies in general a bit too sweet and I was shocked by the calorie counts. I was quite impressed by the spicy grilled chicken wrap I had (cost S$5.90) and I will be returning for the wraps. The … Continue reading

Singapore Daily Photos: Counting Sheep

This display at the Sleep Academy at Centrepoint (mall) seems to attract the kids. Parents as well, as I saw them coax their kids to pose with the soft toys for photos. Pretty creative for a new mattress section.

These days I’m interested in shopping – if it’s for baby or kiddie stuff. Recently I found that City Square is one such place.

Costa at Vivo

Had a coffee break at Costa. The coffee isn’t great, but I like the decor here. Also St Marc’s was too crowded and I would have been majorly tempted by the parfaits.

Chanced Upon a New Coffee Place at Millennia Walk: Commune

I’m always happy to find a new coffee place as an alternative to the chain ones like Starbucks, which I now realize make really weak coffee. Nice quiet seating area too and I guess quiet as most people haven’t discovered … Continue reading

A Day at 100AM Mall: Dragons, Lions, Hong Kong Style Pastries

My second time at 100AM mall. As you can see, I was pretty enthralled by the Imperial Dragon Bakery Cafe logo. It reminds me of the traditional depiction you see in Chinese paper cuttings. I know it’s excessive – more … Continue reading

Omu Rice at Ma Maison

I quite like the Omu Rice served at Ma Maison. This was at the Central branch. From what I read it’s 520 calories for this Japanese take on the omlette.

Tempted at Muji

Love the clean designs of Japanese goods, and Muji’s food products are so pretty. Even simple things like marshmellows. But prices are not low (compared to Ikea), and it’s quite a splurge if you decide to get anything here.

CNY2013: Chinese New Year Decorations at Nex

CNY2013: My Village has the Prettiest Chinese New Year Decorations

I just love the pink flowers and the sparkly lights. This mall always has a bit of class. I think the fact that it is owned by two brothers (twins I believe) and not a huge corporation makes a huge … Continue reading

Chinese New Year at Johor Bahru (JB) Malaysia

I was impressed by the decorations at City Square JB. Especially the huge zodiac installation with paper cutting illustrations of the animals. I find the traditional paper cutting depictions the most pretty. I’m sure many Singaporeans come here to buy … Continue reading
