New Snack: Strawberry Chocolate Coated Strawberry from Muji
This looked very enticing and it tasted refreshing. I do love the freeze dried strawberry within, making this a healthier snack, am I right?

Capitol Piazza: Capitol Theatre After the Renovation
Capitol Theatre after the renovation now has a fancy name, Capitol Piazza, and it’s filled with fancy shops. I can’t even recall what the old place looks like even though I’ve been there countless number of times for movies. A … Continue reading

Improvements at Toa Payoh Hub
Haven’t been to the Toa Payoh Hub area in a while and was pleasantly surprised that more casual eateries have been added and now there is a covered air-conditioned walkway for them. There’s a Starbucks at the very end too … Continue reading

New Phoon Huat Next to Bouna Vista MRT
I got a bit lost on the way to Rochester Mall (zero sense of direction), but happily came across Phoon Huat, the place which great cooks and bakers like my aunt love to frequent. Even for someone who can’t cook … Continue reading

New Mall 5mins Away from Lavendar MRT: Asperia
There’s a new mall at Kallang called Asperia, but it’s not a full fledged one, but one that is part of a condo. It seems a good place to live as there is a wide variety of services like supermarkets … Continue reading

Krispy Kreme at Changi Airport Terminal 2
You can now satisfy your donut cravings at Changi Airport Terminal 2. Krispy Kreme has a cafe there. I don’t see much difference between this chain and Dunkin Donuts (in Singapore Krispy Kreme is somehow not as good) so you … Continue reading

New Warehouse Mall: Big Box Singapore at Jurong
Big Box is huge and spacious, but I’m not that impressed. It seems to be a neater Mustafa but without the personality and I am guessing better prices. Address: 1 Venture Avenue Singapore 608521
New Mall: One KM
Yet another new mall – ONE KM. More interesting food options here compared to The Seletar Mall, like the Swedish Cafe Fika which has a branch at Kampong Glam. Address: 11 Tanjong Katong Road OneKM Shopping Mall Singapore 437157

New: The Seletar Mall
Another new mall we checked out last month, but I was tardy in writing about is Seletar Mall. The layout is all right. Rather spacious with a high ceiling and open middle area. Food choices are similar to what you can … Continue reading

iO Italian Osteria at HillV2
The restaurant is at level 2 of HillV2 and you can dine in pleasant surroundings as the place is filled with light and spacious. For once I didn’t feel bloated after a meal, but it was pretty expensive considering the … Continue reading

New Mall: HillV2
I do like this new mall which is near the Hillview estate in Upper Bukit Timah, as it’s spacious, isolated (not near an MRT which means less chance of crowds) and more a food place than a shopping place which … Continue reading

Komtar: New Mall Next to City Square in JB
Komtar is open in Johor Bahru (JB). This new mall has many of the upmarket stores that Singapore has in Orchard Road. But I find the prices here higher and the selection smaller. I wish we had a sit down … Continue reading
Haagen Dazs at ION
Jones the Grocer that used to be at level 4 of ION seems to be closed including the cafe opposite. Instead there’s a Haagen Daaz Cafe now. I didn’t really feel like ice cream, wanted a place to sit and … Continue reading
Paul at Westgate Mall
Westgate is the only suburban mall that feels like it would fit in at Orchard Road. It has a Paul Bakery Cafe for instance.
New French Cafe At VivoCity: abc
I’m loving the bread & pastries at the new French cafe at Vivo. It replaces the Vietnamese sandwich place I believe and is located near Jamie Oliver’s. I wish there was more seating though as I definitely want to come … Continue reading
Westgate Mall is Open Too (directory picks)
I was truly impressed by this mall. It’s pretty classy and reminded me of malls in town. It’s smack in the middle with malls JEM on one side and JCube on the other. I was most impressed by Isetan and … Continue reading

Bedok Mall is Open (my pick of the directory of shops & dining places)
Bedok Mall is open way earlier than expected. I like that it’s connected to the Bedok MRT but other than Wingstop (chicken wing chain from USA that hasn’t crossed my radar) nothing else seemed that exciting. For food I would … Continue reading

Suntec City Revamped & My Mall Claustrophobia
