Falling trees are not only dangerous for people, but for the sambar deer at the Night Safari (part of the Singapore Zoo which opens at Night with nocturnal animals) as well. The falling tree brought down a secondary fence and hence the escape. Sadly the deers were injured and one died. One of the deers is still missing. I can’t help but think, thank goodness it wasn’t tigers or hyenas which escaped.
