Christmas Outing at Marina Bay Sands
One of my favourite malls for sure – both spacious & with the best ambience, especially at Christmas. We also caught the free photographic exhibition – The Little Black Jacket.

New French Cafe At VivoCity: abc
I’m loving the bread & pastries at the new French cafe at Vivo. It replaces the Vietnamese sandwich place I believe and is located near Jamie Oliver’s. I wish there was more seating though as I definitely want to come … Continue reading
Orchard Road Christmas Lights
Thought I should put up my Christmas photos before it’s too late and I don’t feel Chrismassy anymore. The Christmas peacock angel was my favourite. Isn’t her head piece just fabulous? Catch a glimpse of her just outside Tangs.

Central: Nostalgia at Goods of Desire
It’s a Hong Kong store but I was impressed by their nostalgia inducing uniquely Singapore items on sale. If not for the too steep price I might have gotten some of these cards.
Christmas in Singapore 2013: Central
Been checking out Christmas trees. One place where I saw kids sitting by Santa for a photo.
Starbucks at Christmas
I find the Starbucks Christmas disposable cups too nice to throw away. Tried their seasonal toffee nut latte and it’s rather addictive.
Beach Day
While awaiting the renovation completion at East Coast beach we headed to the section that’s still open near the hawker centre. Grateful for cloud cover protecting us from the direct heat.

Westgate Mall is Open Too (directory picks)
I was truly impressed by this mall. It’s pretty classy and reminded me of malls in town. It’s smack in the middle with malls JEM on one side and JCube on the other. I was most impressed by Isetan and … Continue reading

Bedok Mall is Open (my pick of the directory of shops & dining places)
Bedok Mall is open way earlier than expected. I like that it’s connected to the Bedok MRT but other than Wingstop (chicken wing chain from USA that hasn’t crossed my radar) nothing else seemed that exciting. For food I would … Continue reading

Crepe at Paul (Tanglin mall)
Wouldn’t mind having crepe at Paul again. Had the turkey ham and cheese crepe. The hard bread that they provided for free was very good too although it would have been better of it had been warmed up. Glad there’s … Continue reading
Jamie Oliver’s Restaurant (Disappointing Second Visit)
My second time here and I seem to have amnesia over how expensive the food is including too small portions. I’ve has better pasta at Pasta Fresca so was a tad disappointed again. The ambience is nice but service not … Continue reading
Carrot Cake Craving (Bedok Market)
Bedok market is now a tad confusing to get to. The car park has disappeared and it’s now behind the new Bedok Mall which is still under construction and linked to Bedok MRT. We went there to satisfy our carrot … Continue reading
The Outfield – Your Love
I’m crazy about this song right now – Your Love by The Outfield. And reminds me how I loved the 80’s. A good time to be a teen. The era of the big hair, areobics and ridiculous shoulder pads. So … Continue reading
Cider at Ikea
Loved the strawberry & lime cider at Ikea. Loveliest scent & aftertaste. It was below 5 bucks and much cheaper than having it at a restaurant where I’ve seen cider marked up and sold for as much as 15 bucks.
Underwhelmed at Tim Ho Wan
Even though I went with low expectations, after reading countless other blog reviews, I was still underwhelmed. I didn’t even feel like blogging about it but B wanted me to because he feels I should blog about not that great … Continue reading

Joy, Love, Hope
The Christmas decorations at My Village spoke to me. It’s lovely how this tiny mall always tries to be a bit different from the pack. The result is always charming. Instead of carolling there was a performance with bells that … Continue reading

I Do Like the Malls at Christmas
It’s that time of year where the malls get more fun. I like to see how creative they can get with the decorations. At Parkway Parade the kids will get excited about Santa’s helper perched on a wreath. I only … Continue reading

My Favourite Free iPad Apps for Toddlers
Ironically after writing a post about the hazards of being connected (due to the ease and portability of devices), I also wrote about my favourite free ipad apps for toddlers. Yes there are advantages we can’t ignore and we have … Continue reading

Hyper-Connected & I Think It’s Bad for Me
I miss the old days. For me that was the early 90’s before I owned a handphone. I used to focus and seemed to get a lot more done. Things were slower paced at work, but interactions were higher quality. … Continue reading

Christmas at Ikea Singapore 2013
Ikea always seems to do Christmas best. So we trooped on there to have a look. It was charming as the year before and I really liked the little tin Chritmas tree ornaments best. B noticed the unique use of … Continue reading
New Robinsons at The Heeren impressed me
When B first told me about how Robinsons has taken over at The Heeren and is now almost like a Harrods (taken over the whole building apart from the Costa Cafe) I thought he might have read exaggerated reports, but … Continue reading
