It still feels like Christmas when I see all the lovely trees about town. It’s a very city kind of Christmas and I wonder what visitors from colder climates with real trees feel about it. I guess they too would like to experience something different from what they are used it if they are from a small town. A visit to Singapore is more about experiencing the buzz of city life I guess and that comes with crowds.
Speaking of crowds we tried to visit the pandas at the Zoo and wanted to take a tram to Sentosa for fun but both plans were thwarted when we saw the crowds. The school holidays – not my favourite time of year.
The Q at SEA (the aquarium) was 120 minutes long! And we pre-purchased tickets! We had to leave as I had my baby with me!
Oh no….that’s terrible. I didn’t expect all the attractions to be so packed. The queue at the zoo shocked me.
We were going to go over to Sentosa on the Friday between Christmas and New Year, but when we got to Vivocity and saw the queues we changed our minds. Instead, though we had a pleasant time wandering around the mall (which I actually really like and don’t go to enough) and some nice lunch instead. Hope you get to see the pandas soon. We want to see them but definitely not in the school holidays if we can help it!
yeah the school hols are a nightmare time for the rest of us 😉 but when it was a kid it was pure joy
