I’ve learnt from the blogs I read regularly (with millions of views), that the key is at least 5 witty, entertaining new posts a day. (but that’s hard to keep up). Or something that the readers find useful or soothing. Yup it’s these 3 key things:
1. Entertaining
2. Useful
3. Soothing
Oh yes. I liked blog posts to have huge fonts, clarity and be short and sweet.
I think very little people read my blog but I don’t really let that bother me. Writing my blog is supposed to relax and de-stress me and if worrying bout blog traffic is gonna affect me, i’ll have to stop blogging. 😉
Yes I’m too obsessed about traffic sometimes. I was dismayed when my stats was disable and I got a zero in terms of visits… 😉 When it started out it was more like a diary and I should try to get back to that.
i agree with Mel. i started blogging purely out of personal interest as well. stats should affect the pure joy of blogging abt something u love…food!
opps, i meant, “shouldn’t”. damn itchy fingers.
the stats are quite a distraction for me. I need to get back to why I write in the first place. Makes me think about authors being distracted by book sales.
