When babies talk it seems like a mixture of all the possible languages in the world. That’s the fascinating thing about child language acquisition. Before the age of three the possibilities are endless. Babies are wired to easily pick up whatever language it is exposed to and will somehow keep the various grammatical structures separate. As an adult, this magical ability is gone and that’s why we find it so hard to learn and pronounce the sounds of a new language.
