SkyGarden Opens at Nex And Itchy Fingers

Why is everything in Singapore now have a Sky added to the front. Skybar, Skypark and now Skygarden. They seem to be copying Marina Bay Sands, but only the Skybar at Marina Bay Sands is truly high up in the sky. Anyway this is what I saw of the park.

The park for dogs is not ready yet I think, but there were a few schools for kids open. Kinda scary, especially the one called Billionaire kids. I would rather my child be kind and good than a billionaire. The marketing just makes me uncomfortable – kids are going to be hot housed to be future CEOs? I don’t know. Maybe I’m prudish and old fashioned. I don’t like the idea of little kids being pushed to be competitive at such a young age. I feel that it messes them up. I’d rather just send them for fun dance or ballet classes. Something they would enjoy.

Already, vandalism at the lift. How mindless and annoying. I wouldn’t be annoyed if something wonderful was painted around this to enhance it, but this is just dumb and what we chide in Singlish saying “don’t be itchy fingers” when you touch things you’re not supposed to. Parents used to say this to kids quite a bit in the 70’s. I am not sure if the phrase is still used.
