Service was friendly enough, but I wasn’t that impressed overall. The Nutella Tart was ok I guess (my sister would love it as she likes her desserts rich especially chocolate ones). To be fair though we just came for dessert and didn’t try what this place is all about – the fries. The crowd consisted of mostly young people in their early twenties. I think we’ve been spoilt by the lovely Indie Cafes that have been sprouting up recently that roast their own coffee beans. The coffee here was weak, but the chalkboard decor was nice, although it’s becoming quite a common thing everywhere now.
Banana Cream Pie too.
Donno if this passes as coffee art. Think the coffee was too weak for art.
I did like the little decorative details though. The service and details like this were pleasing, although as in most places now, tables are too close together for comfort. If you’re paying more than a fast food place you expect a little more privacy so that you can chat without disturbing your neighbour. I think I would have more privacy at Wendy’s and I quite like the food there.
A peek at the menu and prices. I must say salt and vinegar fries sounds tempting.
To be fair, since I didn’t try the food, I want to include some recent reviews by food bloggers:

Moving blogs is always a pain 😉 like moving homes.
I do like the fries at Everything With Fries! If you want to try their food and desserts they’re also yummy at Loola’s in Esplanade. 🙂
ok I will give the fries a go 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation Kirsten…haven’t checked Loola’s out yet.
Hi Guys,
nice article you have written to promote Holland Village and we are very happy that there are still many people like you who still come to Holland Village.
For those of you who are still not sure what Holland Village offers, the official Holland Village web site has a lot more details about what Holland Village is. It has a retail directory, visitor’s guide, featured stores, including parking facilities and how to get there. Check it out here:

Cheers! And Happy Reveling!
Didn’t intentionally write it as a promotion (just my personal thoughts) but I did spend a great part of my youth here so fond memories. Hope the area gets revived again and sees more independent boutique stores especially bookshops like those at Duxton and Tiong Bahru 🙂
Thanks for the link! If you don’t mind I would love to add you to my blog’s blogroll too 🙂
That would be awesome – thanks Alexis 🙂
