A Tale of My Acquired Taste

Japanese food wasn’t something I ate at all till I was the ripe old age of 28. Before that, my first time was pretty traumatic, ending up with food poisoning and after that I avoided Japanese restaurants. I’m thinking that back then Singapore probably didn’t have as many good authentic Japanese restaurants as they do now and I most likely had a local version of what Japanese food was supposed to be and perhaps the meal wasn’t as fresh as it should have been.

These days I really like Genki Sushi which has opened a new outlet. Wrote about it here.
