Singapore Headline That Scared Me: SIA Plane in Collision at Beijing Airport

Please, I don’t want to hear any more bad news. Floods, falling trees and now colliding planes? I am just so relieved that no one was injured and this collision happened at the taxiing stage. The clipping of the wing and tail has been attributed to pilot error and the Beijing airport was foggy at the time. Luckily the planes were on the ground and not in the air! Why are planes flying in foggy weather?

SIA is short for Singapore Airlines which is the only airline I usually fly with, because the seats and service are great. The safety record has been comparatively pretty good with a relatively newer fleet of planes, and I want it to remain that way.
