Maybe it was because I was famished, but this Nonya meal at the famous restaurant called Makko was so good and I ate too quickly. There was a special type of prawn crackers that you don’t get in Singapore. It was so good and addictive. Out of all the curries I liked the prawn curry best. But B felt that all the dishes were a bit too sweet (sugar added).
This place is definitely popular with the locals – it was packed even at 2.30 pm. So perhaps it was a good thing we came here late. But any later and they might have been closed for lunch.
