I am drawn to Liang Court because of the number of authentic Japanese outlets here. I was immediately captivated by the new Starhub Sumo ad plastered at the travelator.
Just love places in Singapore that are empty and spacious. And since I just came back from Vietnam I was pleased to check out the Vietnamese Cafe called Trung Nguyen Coffee. The coffee here is super strong. I have tried the hot drip version and I should try the iced version the next time. The Legendee coffee powder (famed to be the best) was selling for more than double the price at S$24 so I am pleased at the bargain we got at the supermarket in Ho Chi Minh.
Spotted a new S$2 store called Nanairo that has similar stuff to the very popular Daiso chain. I like that this store is small and cosy and not too massive.
Also like the Don stall in the basement foodcourt. The Udon is not as good as what I had in Osaka though. I can’t quite put my finger on why? But the one in Osaka was just superior.
I love Saizeriya (or whatever it’s called), and the crepe place.
And I love that the supermarket still has the tofu section where they’re all in the cold running water. As a kid I used to go there and put my hand in the icy cold water and see how long I could stand it. Last week I went back for the first time and YEARS and did it again. It was great.
I in particular love the Kino and supermarket 🙂
I have been frequenting Liang Court and head straight to the same don stall for Katsu Curry Udon, my default good eats, when I’m there. :9
I will try that some time…yummy
We often end up at Liang Court (walking distance from my home, actually!) to go to Royce Gym with Ellie.
I had no idea there was a children’s gym there….that’s nice 🙂
I never fail to visit trung nguyen coffee each time I’m there. Do check out tampopo deli at the basement the next time!
I love the deli too….especially the milky caramel dessert.
