Brunetti is a famous coffee joint in Melbourne and I’m glad there are in Singapore now. It’s so refreshing to come across a new coffee place practically every few weeks. Perhaps I am not so much in the know, and there are many more coffee joints, just waiting to be discovered.
The design of the cafe is sophisticated and posh. Adored all the mirrors and black and white glossy mosaic tiles. And the pastries galore were so tempting.
When we got there we were a bit disappointed as it was so crowded that it was hard to get a seat. There were seats outside though. So we came back a little later and the crowd had thinned out by then.
It’s self service, and you place your order with the counter person in the spiffy vest and bow-tie. You can make payment with him too and them just go to the other counter to collect your drinks. You can even ask for a glass of iced water.
The macarons were were world’s apart compared to the disappointingly dry ones I had from Bakerzin. They were attractive to look at and had that chewy texture. I particularly loved the Rose one with the butter cream filling.
Here’s a shot I took of the menu and prices.
Perhaps I should try the cannoli, hot chocolate and gelato next time, since this is an Italian cafe.
