Looking Forward to Being Less Sedentary

Being cooped up at home is definitely not healthy (mentally or physically) and I look forward to walks outside when the covid wave passes and the weather permits.

I have to avoid the sun as I’ve had sun damage and had to have the damaged bits burnt off. The irony. The sun burnt my skin, but the treatment was to have that layer burnt off by lasers. It left scars as expected, but at least I can worry less about mutations and possible melanoma as my oncologist warned.

I should try walking to a nearby park because that would be a shadier option. The traffic leading to that park is intense with speeding cars. Maybe that’s why I tend to avoid it. These cars even speed at the zebra crossing which is infuriating to say the least.

Anyway I’m going to appreciate any kind of walk outside a lot more now and not take it for granted. It’s so easy to forget and take things for granted. I am writing this down so I don’t forget what a great thing just a simple walk can be.

Is there anything you’ve taken for granted but appreciate right now? Would love to hear.
