I loved checking out this new, cosy little mall, especially with the awesome Chinese New Year decorations. Love the pretty pink lanterns that look like flowers and paper cutting styled bunnies everywhere. I thought the cut-outs of the twin brothers (owners of the mall) welcoming visitors was a nice touch too.
Udders the ice cream place was open too. I saw quite a number of teenaged girls here. I think girls definitely have more of a sweet tooth.
Shin Kushiya was not open for business yet although it looked like it was open.
Looks like this place will soon have a spa too. The glittery purple nails attracted me. So pretty and I wish I was daring enough to try them one day. I tend to stick with very safe pale pinks.
I am not into video games, but the game that was showing on the screen at this store (ERA) was fascinating. I think guys are into these sorts of video games the way women are into high teas and spas.
I have never seen wonder woman looking so muscular or superman looking so unwholesome. I almost thought Superman looked evil, because he looked angry and shot lasers from his eye. My favourite Superman will always be Christopher Reeve.
Couldn’t get a screen shot but just got a shot of the real bad guy in the video.
The Old Hong Kong Taste is now open too.
I have to admit that the kopi is not as good as Yakun. Tried the tea too which B liked a lot. I tend to be finicky as I make my own tea. Also I’d rather sit on a more comfortable chair than a stool. These kopi places are more for grab and go and not conducive for chatting. I think the owners want you to eat and leave quickly too for higher turnaround.
Tried out the Coffee Bean before more people discover it and it becomes super packed. It was so lovely and empty. I like the pure vanilla drink here. Reminds me a bit of an energy drink I had as a kid called sustagen that tasted like vanilla ice-cream. Companion had the Cafe Mocha.
The service here was just wonderful and I think I’d rather come here instead, next time.
View of the red rooftops from the mall’s rooftop which will be converted to a beer garden I think. But due to residents’ complaints about noise late into the night, the idea will probably be replaced with something else instead.
Bakerzin is not open yet and I hope to check it out when I’m here next.
There are loads more stores open and B was excited about QB, the 10 minute haircut place. For me, I wish they could include a shampoo as well. A dry haircut just doesn’t do it for me and I always look forward to the shampoo that comes with a light head massage at the hair salons.
Da Paola Gastranomia and a Flip Flop shop were open for business too.
I found this sign, just too cute. Little touches like these make this place so charming. I love that it’s located in this quiet residential district as well.
My older posts and photos of My Village which I am starting to like quite a bit because it is just so different from the other malls – quietness and cosiness rules.

One of my favorite places. Only downside is the traffic congestion and parking woes. Now you’ve tempted me with the food!
I find it really cosy. Yes the congestion is the only problem but when I was there they had compulsary valet parking.
Hey Bookjunkie!
Just so you know, bakerzin will be opening after Chinese New Year toward the end of Feb. Will be having some opening soon for the mall so hope you come in and have fun when that happens! 🙂
Cool!! Can’t wait 🙂 thanks for letting me know.
