New: Starbucks at Hougang Mall

Starbucks lattes are getting more and more dilute but I’m still excited to see one soon to open at Hougang Mall. At least I can get my coffee fix the next time I’m here. There were no other options before.

Dumb Ways to Die

My cousin sent me this and I had to share. She keeps me current. This Cannes award winning train safety ad produced in Melbourne is the most cute morbid thing I’ve seen yet. I don’t like violence, fast forwarding through … Continue reading

New at Suntec City: Again While Bored and Hiding from the Haze

The kids clothes are cute at both these places but a lot more affordable at H&M. For adult clothes I much prefer Gap for the styling. The H&M clothing seems flimsy but much cheaper I guess? This place is still … Continue reading

New on a Hazy Day: Spotted St Marc Cafe while take Refuge at Marina Square

Checked out a few new places by chance. We were going bored out of our minds cooped at home anyway and at least in a mall you can walk a bit. It seems the air is healthier in a mall … Continue reading

Singapore Haze Crisis: Felt Surreal to See the Sky Turn Blue, But it’s Not Over Yet

There is news that winds will change direction and it’ll be grey tomorrow (technically it’s already tomorrow since I’m writing this past midnight), but I just hope we will be pleasantly surprised again. News also that water bombing in Indonesia … Continue reading

Blue Skies, I Miss You

The haze has got me longing for blue skies in Singapore. I haven’t been appreciating our blue skies much, in spite of the heat, now that the smoke has robbed us of that. Well perhaps I have (look at my … Continue reading

New at Novena Square: Sophie, French Bakery

I like the name Sophie and the concept looks interesting, but I tend to prefer sit down cafes. I wonder if their other outlets have more room for tables but from this blogger’s post about the Wisma outlet, it doesn’t … Continue reading

New at Paya Lebar: Bread Talk HQ Near Tai Seng MRT

I’m not that much of a fan of BreadTalk but my partner is more impressed than me. My family likes Din Tai Fung but for me it’s a no. But what they do right is the environment is nice and … Continue reading

Jem: The Upscale New Mall at Jurong East (& My Directory Picks)

We were super kiasu, I’m embarrassed to say, and checked out the newest mall jem even though most of it is just a replica of malls in Orchard Road, like Centrepoint. And nope, no queuing for us as we didn’t … Continue reading

Eager to Try: Jamie’s Kitchen & Madam Kwan’s at Vivo

Took these photos some time ago, before I fell ill. Wonder if Jamie Oliver’s restaurant has opened since then. I also wonder if there are still queues at Madam Kwan’s (probably). Considering that it’s perpetual summer, here I chuckled over … Continue reading

Away for Quite a While

Been down with a fever and felt time fleeting away. I don’t ever want to fall sick again (if that’s possible). Can still recall the great discomfort of the heat rising from my lids and being unable to do anything … Continue reading

Preserving Memories

Time seems to be more sparse than usual but the original purpose of my blog was to preserve memories. Glad I wrote this recently.

New Places in Singapore

3 new places in Singapore that I chanced upon recently. Hope to explore more of the new, instead of revisiting the same old places like we usually do.

Singapore Daily Photos: About to Rain at Gillman Barracks

Love this new green space we discovered. The old white colonial buildings which are now art galleries are beautiful in this setting.

Rainy Day at HarbourFront & My Thoughts About Cruises

Personally I am not into cruises although I don’t mind short ferry rides or going fast on a jet boat. I would like to spend more time at the destination in a more comfortable hotel than on a tiny room … Continue reading

Room Coffee Bar at ARC: Great Place for Breakfast & Cakes

I couldn’t decided between waffles and cakes at Room (later inside the lift I saw that kids under 12 get free waffles with a big breakfast order and that sounds good). And it was hard to pick one cake. They … Continue reading

New Mall: Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC) & My Pick of the Directory

5 Reasons Why I Would Return to ARC: 1. Relatively Empty (don’t have to squeeze with other folks when you dine) 2. Free Parking on weekends and on Weekdays if you spend $30 (no need to rush off and with … Continue reading

I didn’t try the hot dogs as I was full already, but I wonder if they can match what I’ve had at The Brat (Plaza Singapura).

Singapore Daily Photos: Toys at Giant (Supermarket)

The bear is almost a metre high. I wonder if it’s too big for little kids. Might scare them or thrill them to bits. Eager for when my nieces are old enough for dolls. And I’ve aways found it so … Continue reading
